The DMC DJ Battles/Championships are the longest running and most prestigious DJ competitions in the world. In the DMC battles, legends are made. Being a DMC World or national champion continues to be one of the most sought after titles for turntablist’s worldwide!

DMC DJ Champions have gone on to do major work within the music industry.A few examples include: Roc Raida with Busta Rhymes, A-Trak with Kanye West, Mix Master Mike with The Beastie Boys, DJ Enferno with Madonna, DJ Babu with Dilated Peoples.

The competition has grown since its inception at the 1985 DMC DJ Convention and is now hosted in over 32 countries.Technics introduced the golden turntables as the main prize in 1989, this unique and priceless trophy is given to the newly crowned world champion.
