Monday Remix #10
HC & Virgo - Squeeze 1st (Remix)
This week's remix is dedicated to one of friends/producer Pedro "Virgo" Manjate, he's one crazy beat-maker and he's got a hot flow. This beat was originally on Jay-Z's "Roc-La-Familia The Dynasty" album and it's one of my fav. tracks on that album. The topic is Writer's Block and squeezing words in just to make sound right without thinking straight.
We recorded this back in March/April, he's now in Nelspruit working hard.
Virgo produced the first track on Nemza's album "The Future", "Open Your Mind" on "Before The Madness" and he's also working on more beats for my next project.

It's a strange Monday morning here in Cape Town, it's cloudy/rainy, supposed to be spring so let's get rid of the winter with this next remix, a break-up song with an old-school beat produced by A-Plus, who is one of the members from Souls of Mischief (the original artists).

It has little intro and an outro... taking you back to that 1993 sound with an HC touch to it.

CSS ft. HC - Jager Yoga (Remix)
I heard about this Brazilian Rock band a while back, CSS stands for Cansei de Ser Sexy (I got tired of being sexy) hahaha...I like the name, the first time I heard this song 'Jager Yoga' was on the Fifa 09 soundtrack last year and I've been singing it for more than a year now, I sent a copy this remix to them via Myspace, hopefully they'll give me feedback ;-) and let me do another one (original this time)??? Fingers crossed.
It's a different genre to HC, had to try new things, I really like their style!

Another Monday Remix and thanks to those of you who are downloading the remixes and giving me feedback, its much appreciated. We still have many to go. It's the end of September and the Monday remixes will go on until 28th December 2009.
Feedback about the last remix, thanks to those who liked the song, I will report back to Mr Pinky about his song, classic joint. He's not used to the whole technology thing ;-)

Story:
Since its Death of Auto-tune month for me, I thought I should upload this song called BooBooTah, written and performed by a new artist I'm working with called Mr Pinky.
Mr Pinky is influenced by the likes of R.Kelly, T-Pain and the rapper Too $hort.
After a brainstorming session with Mr Pinky he told me one thing thats still stuck on my mind, which is that "sex sells". With his first single BooBooTah he said that in English it means the females private body part, I thought "oh, how creative....". He gave me permission to do a remix for this track produced by my brother from another mother, Ameen.
Hope you enjoy it. It's the greatest slow jam I've heard in a while. Props to Mr Pinky.
